If you are in the area and have a need for curry, as an Englishman who could be described as a connoisseur- I would eat here again in a heartbeat. You can order the heat level fir each dish, my only advice if you like your spice is go one hotter than you think and you'll be golden.

A very good and authentic Indian and Nepali restaurant!Food is well-prepared and tasty and very authentic (I traveled a lot in India). It's also a great option for vegetarians and vegans.

The cheese Nan, butter Nan were so fluffy and delicious! garlic fried rice nothing like it went very well with butter chicken dish. Tandoori prawns 👌🏼👌🏼. Highly recommend this place if you're craving for something spicy and something different from the bland food.

Staff were nice if a little quiet. The curry was really delicious. Decent naan, just a little hard. The tandoori chicken was a bit bland though.

Lovely little restaurant that caters for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. We were a group of 6 no issues with getting a table. Well priced set menus and it was one for the best curries we've all had in a long time! Lovely flavours, good portion sizes and the best nan bread I've ever had! So light and fluffy and not greasy! I had the Chana masala it was delicious. The spice levels they got just right for everyone and were exactly what you'd expect. Highly recommended.

Feeling like a change in after a few weeks in Japan, this place was great for a takeaway for our family. The look from the outside was a bit garish but don't let that put you off. The aroma inside was delectable, and our dahl and curry of a very decent standard. I'd like to support this business again.

Price is a bit more expensive than other Indian restaurants around the world, however the quality is good. Tasteful! They were quick serving our meals. Definitely worth trying.

Tried their honey cheese naan as a safe option as I'm not very familiar with Indian food... Man, the cheese pull was ridiculous! Definitely insta-worthy if that's your thing. Also highly recommended to anyone missing cheesy, carby goodness from back home (hint hint, pizza).Will probably be back for the curry. It smelled delicious. 😋

They used prefabricated food, I think. The curry and naan didn’t seemed hand made. And they have quite small portions. I wouldn’t go there again.

Good place to have Indian cuisine in Takayama

Ordered chicken chowmein and vegetable curry set menue. It was tasty and I loved the spicy taste of chowmein. Yes! It was very quickly delivered!

If you are looking for a beautiful meal in Takayama you cant go past the Royal Nan House. Fresh cooked Indian food which was just outstanding. Nan bread , rice and curry just lovely. Friendly service by staff who make sure everything is as you wanted.Do yourself a favour and give it a go.

The place looks nothing special inside, but the food we had was very good and tasty.Service was good as was value for money.Tasty curry, tandoori chicken leg, salad and drink, approx $20.

amazing food and service

It was our vegetarian day in the week and was struggling with finding a decent place for dinner. Came across this place online I was super hesitant being Indian myself. The food is fab lots of vegetarian options. Very relaxed settling. Staff are very friendly. Very happy customer 😊

Really close to Nohi Bus Center. only about 200m walking. The taste of mutton curry is really good!! And this restaurant serving halal menu, so muslim is really welcome here. i order halal set number 2(i forgot the name, 1690 yen). price is reasonable, great taste and location

If you want to try something different from massive Japanese cuisine choices, you have got to try this restaurant! The staff are really nice. And their food? Naan? Cheese Naan? Ohh, I could eat the whole meal! And my love for their cocktail drink is undeniable. Visit this, please. You won't regret!

Great Nan and prawn masala!

I had the dinner set menu (you choose the curry, drink and either rice or naan) and it was so filling and delicious. The naan was huge and cooked to perfection. The staff are so kind, they have an English menu and free wifi.

Great place, we visited here three times! a lot of vegetarian options, the staff is really nice and helpful, speaks English. the best Indian-Nepalese restaurant we have been to in Japan.

English menu and vegetarian options are available. Recommended for vegetarian tourist.Ordered samosas, butter naan, veg chow mein and spinach cheese curry. All were very good.

This place smelt so good, we cancelled our reservation elsewhere in order to eat here. Great staff, even better food (butter naan!). Reasonably priced!

We ordered tandoori chicken which was very dry and not juicy. The garlic Tikka on first day was excellent. Second day was average. The dal was very average, no spices and no tadka. The chowmein was good on both days. Naans were good.They do not give you any salad or chutneys or pickle or even lemon with the grilled items so you just eat it dry.The next day we went to the supermarket and bought some lemon and carried it with us to the restaurant.

This nepalese/Indian restaurant was a wonderful surprise in the middle of a typhoon (I am impressed they were open) my husband and I were starving and looking for anything that was open. The staff welcomed us and were super friendly, they recommended what was good and we had a blast. We had everything from curry, lassi, nepalese beer, momo, nans, grilled chicken (perfectly cooked). Prices were super reasonable and will definitely stop by again.
